The short version. Dupie has no accounts and no sign-up. Your shelf, your scans and your settings stay on your phone. We don't sell data, we don't run advertising trackers, and we don't build a profile of you.
Who we are
Dupie is operated by N2N s.r.o., Kamenná 4, 010 01 Žilina, Slovakia — Company ID (IČO) 45977208, VAT ID (IČ DPH) SK2023179279 ("we", "us"). For anything in this policy, write to hello@dupie.beauty.
What stays on your phone
The app works without an account. The following is stored in the app's local storage on your device and is not sent to us:
- the products on your shelf (stored as product IDs, not personal details)
- your search and scan history within the app
- your settings — language, currency, notification preferences
- your subscription state and referral count
Deleting the app deletes all of it. You can also clear your shelf at any time in the app's settings.
What leaves your phone
Photo recognition
If the barcode can't be read, you can take a photo of the product. Only then is an image sent to our server, which passes it to Anthropic (our AI provider) to read the brand and product name off the packaging.
- The photo is cropped to the guide frame and resized before it is sent — we transmit the product, not the whole room.
- It is used only to identify the product and is not stored by us after the response is returned.
- It is not used to train AI models.
- Please avoid including faces or other people in the frame — point the camera at the product.
Device identifier
The app generates a random identifier for your device when first opened. It contains nothing about you or your phone — it exists so that the free scan can't be reset by restarting the app, and to limit abuse of our recognition service. It is not linked to your name, email or advertising ID.
If you email us
Writing to us means we hold your email address and message for as long as needed to answer you.
What we never collect
- No name, address, date of birth or phone number
- No contacts, no location, no advertising identifiers
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app
- No payment card details — subscriptions are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and we never see your card
Shopping links
Where we show a retailer, the link may be an affiliate link: if you buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer and its affiliate network then apply their own privacy policies and cookies. We don't receive your order details — only aggregate reports of whether a purchase happened.
This website
dupie.beauty is a static page. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no tracking pixels. Our hosting provider processes standard server logs (IP address, browser, page requested) to deliver the site and defend against attacks.

Transfers outside the EU are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Legal basis and retention
We process the little data described above on the basis of legitimate interest (running and protecting the service) and, where you actively ask for something such as photo recognition, performance of the service you requested. Photos are not retained after recognition; abuse-prevention counters are kept for a short rolling period; emails are kept as long as the conversation needs.
Children
Dupie is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and you can object to processing. Because the app holds no account, most of your data is in your own hands — deleting the app erases it. For anything else, write to hello@dupie.beauty. You also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority; in Slovakia that is the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky).
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app.
